Comment Policy

Discussion is a great component of blogging. I welcome and appreciate your comments so much. I have comment moderation enabled here. In other words, I have to individually read and approve every comment before it will be published on the site. You don’t have to have a blog of your own to comment, just a name and a valid e-mail address.
If you choose to comment, I ask that you adhere to these guidelines:
- Keep your comments polite and kind-spirited.
- Keep your comments pure. I refuse to publish profanity or off-color words, and I edit certain other words slightly to keep search engines from indexing them. I also keep a close eye on some sensitive issues and how graphically they are discussed. I know that opinions differ on what is right to discuss in a public forum, and what is appropriate in one place may be inappropriate in another. I have chosen to set the bar high in order to keep my content wholesome and safe for young eyes.
- Keep your comments on topic. Conversations naturally flow in many directions, but I think it detracts from the purpose of an entry if comments become completely unrelated to the original post.
I reserve the right to edit or delete any comment at my own discretion. If I do edit a comment (other than for minor editorial changes), I will indicate that I have done so. I do this to ensure that comments adhere to the guidelines above. I may also delete links to blogs/websites with content I don’t want to send my readers to, even if I don’t delete the comment.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about these guidelines. Thanks so much for being a part of the community at Hope Road.
