About

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I am a 21-year-old Christian young woman who recently graduated from college, where I studied ministry, Bible, and English. I’m currently living at home and working as an assistant teacher in a daycare. I’m an avid blogger (i.e. nerd), and happy about it (see point #12 on link).
Disclaimer: This blog is not a complete representation of my life. It’s a small snapshot, just me sharing what’s on my heart, what’s going on in my life, and what I’m passionate about. My desire is to portray myself honestly without crossing my personal boundaries of what to share. It’s a fine line to walk, and I’m not always successful. So here are three facts to remember about me as you read:
- I am a sinner.
- I don’t have it all together.
- I may be a bit of a blog extrovert, but in real life I am more of an introvert.
My faith: I’m so thankful to be able to say that my life is defined by my identity as a Jesus follower. He helps me to trust in Him alone for my salvation, my spiritual growth, and my joy. You can learn more about Christ, what He means to me, and what He can mean to you by listening to this 2-minute message.
This site: I’ve been blogging since early 2005, and I’ve been writing this blog since May 2007. My prayer is that everything you read here will do more than just let you get to know me a little better. I want it to help you see a little more clearly how wonderful Jesus is, and how faithful He is to me, one of His ordinary followers. And I hope to learn from you as well.
The name of my blog is Hope Road because I’ve been rescued from the broad road that leads to destruction, and graciously placed on the road that leads to life. While some may see this path as confining and restricted, I see it as freeing, and ultimately, as full of hope. Without my Savior, I would have no future, no promise, no life. So it is in gratefulness to Him that I look at my life and the world through the lens of hopefulness.
