This really touched me today as the Lord has been impressing upon my heart to truly become ALL His!! To not just give part of myself but ALL of myself and to be His bond slave. I have been a Christian for about 12 years now... and I can't imagine a life without Jesus.

If indeed we "are a new creation" and "the old has passed away and the new has come", how can we "undo" our salvation? We can mar it, strain it, be unholy and unfaithful in part, but certainly not become backwardly transformed. Sad to live believing that the transformational work wrought by the Spirit could be reversed by the force of our will. To know Christ intellectually alone is to not know him.

Thanks for the reminder Anna, I don't know how people live believing that they could lose their salvation at any time.

I was talking with an athiest yesterday, who is sure, that at one time he was a true Christian. I tried to explain that if he had truly met God, he wouldn't be able to deny his existence now.

All week I've been think about the part of Lamentations 3 that says, "<b>this I recall to my mind</b>, therefore I have hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: Great is thy faithfulness..."

I recall these things to mind, and experience His mercies and faithfulness, "new every morning" and I can not doubt. "I will not go free."

Thanks for this post. It was an encouragement to me this morning.
