Hi Anna,

I was so excited that your mom shared your blog with me. How fun to get to know you better by reading your thoughts and ideas. I thought it ironic that your grandmother shared with me this morning that today was her mother's 94th birthday. Your grandmother was wearing your great grandmother's pearls. I commented on their beauty and how they looked like new. She smiled wistfully and replied that that was how her mother took care of everything. I walked away with a lump in my throat. I could tell your grandmother loved her mother very much and must miss her dearly. It made me think of my own mother with gratitude and inspired me to be the kind of mom my daughters would remember with fondness on my birthday long after I'm gone and they are grandmothers themselves. May God bless you, Anna. I look forward to reading more of your thoughts.

I love you, my dear, sweet daughter. And I miss you. But I have so much joy in watching you follow God and in seeing his faithful goodness in your life. Thank you.
