NaBloPoMo 2008

Last November, I tried National Novel Writing Month. Yes, that was smart. I think I finally came to terms with the fact that I am probably not cut out to be a novelist – at least anytime in the near future. (Also, it’s really not a good idea to try NaNoWriMo during your second-to-last semester of college. But I digress…)

Anyway, this year I thought I’d shoot for a more manageable goal: National Blog Posting Month. I was reminded about NaBloPoMo (try saying that three times fast, and how do you even pronounce it?) by Amy, who I believe successfully followed through on it in 2007. I need to be more disciplined in my writing, as I keep saying in every other post I make :-) so this is my little attempt.

Amy wrote, “Let’s face it, this blog desperately needs some life injected into it, as my writing has been lackluster to nonexistent ever since my summer hiatus.” I think those words could apply better to my blog than to hers!

So here goes… this is my first of hopefully 30 posts in a row for the next 29 days.

Very neat idea! If I weren’t in college still, I’d try blogging everyday for a month :D

Best of luck with this – it sounds right up your alley! I’m doing NaNoWriMo again this year…last year I didn’t finish my novel within the 30-day construct, and this year I have a handful of friends who are doing it with me. So I think it will be a much better time (plus, I’m in love with my story so far, which makes me excited to write!).

I’ll have to make your blog part of my daily surfing routine – I’m looking forward to seeing what you share! :D

Yeah! I’m excited and will be checking your blog each day. :-) I had a friend who did the novel writing three years in a row…while she was in college on top of it. I was really impressed!
