Hope Road got a makeover

This may sound silly, but I think the reason I haven’t been writing much lately is because I was tired of my old blog design. I am a very aesthetics-oriented person (or maybe I’m just a design snob); therefore, I like what I write to look good as well as be good. And I was getting tired of the same old same old, so I found a new theme and changed a couple things.

You might notice that my book reviews section is gone – I just took it down temporarily because I’ve been meaning to edit a lot of the reviews and fix some broken links. Hopefully I will be able to get that finished sometime in the not-too-distant future!

Everything else is pretty much the same – I changed the sidebar a little and tweaked a few other details. (You might notice I describe myself as a “wannabe runner.” Anything to keep that motivation going!) Let me know what you think and if you find anything that needs fixin’. Have a wonderful Sunday!

I LOVE IT!!!! I was so shocked (in a good way) when I checked Hope Road tonight. Everything looks amazing, Anna. It really fits It think.

I am the exact same way sometimes when it comes to writing. I’ll change my journal just for a fresh look. It sometimes drives my family crazy… :)
Great job. Looking forward to more posts!

Thanks, Kaysie! I’m glad you like the new design. Don’t even get me started about changing journals all the time… I love buying new notebooks and I used to switch journals constantly. Now I actually try to be economical and fill them up, but I know exactly what you mean. :-)

Really like the new design. Looking forward to more blogging too :-)

I like it! And I love the new picture of you!

Thanks, RWG and Lynellen!

Very pretty layout! There’s nothing like some fresh new colors :)

I love it! The picture of you is great!

I appreciate that, Kelsey and Tori. :-)

I like it very much as well! You are a creative, artistic person whether you think so or not. :P

That’s so sweet, Kayla!

It looks very nice! :) I like it!
I know what you mean about needing a new look sometimes to keep you motivated. I am the same way.

What’s funny is that I read your blog through your RSS feed…I never actually see your site. I came to look today though when I read about your redesign…and it looks good :) Funny how little things really DO matter!

Hey Anna,
I linked over from my sister’s blog, A Pondering Heart.
I really like your site! Love the new design! Very sleek and trendy. Seems like your personality a lot!

I plan to stop by again! Just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed my stop here!
Prayers and Blessings,
Miss Amanda

It looks so good Anna! Change is always refreshing, isn’t it?

Hey Anna!

I love the new design! I especially love the new profile picture of you! You are gorgeous!!

Thank you, everyone!

And thanks for stopping by for the first time, Amanda :-)

I like it! Especially the new picture of you.

Even though I made my blog, I feel that my blog has a distinct personality and the design is part of that. In other words, you’re not odd for needing a new design once in a while. Bloggers change over time, and it is inevitable that the blogs will too.

Hey Anna – nice fresh look! Black and white is a favorite of mine. :) I liked your old one also but I know how it gets to feeling boring after awhile! :-P

Btw, I saw your note on Facebook…I don’t know when you sent it, because I actually have my account deactivated and popped in to check something out. So I didn’t want you to think I was ignoring you, but I’m not friending anyone right now until I decide to make it an active profile. Thanks! :)

Hannah, I completely forgot about that – I am deactivating my account right now actually, which I do every so often because I just get tired of Facebook. :-P No worries!

I had to do that too awhile back! It gets dreary after awhile looking at the same thing unless you totally love it. I like what you’ve done. I like the updated picture of you too! You have such pretty hair.. Im jealous. :)
