Job Decision
Earlier today, I was offered a job out-of-state. I need to make a decision by tomorrow evening. The job is something I think I would really enjoy, and it begins late this summer. It’s a one-year commitment.
I’m thinking of taking it. But I want to consider both options carefully. I would appreciate your prayers as I make this decision. ![]()

Rely on Him. Hear His voice. He will let you know.
Praying for you…
Hi Anna,
I don’t show that much blog-love (isn’t that what commenting sometimes is called?) but I do read and love this blog! It’s in my top 15 or so of blogs (together with Challies, Between Two Worlds, Desiring God, Girltalk, Boundlessline, 22 Words and a few others :). Just wanted you to know that I will pray for you. Let us know what you choose
Am praying for wisdom for you, Anna! God will lead and guide you
May the Lord give you much wisdom and direction! Wish you the best!
I know how difficult these decisions can be. I pray that the Lord will grant you wisdom!
I will pray and be thankful that you have a decision to make
Wow, this encouragement means so much to me. Thank you all. Lord willing, I will let you know my decision tomorrow!
And Red Wine Gums, I am SO thankful I have a decision to make!
Great blog here! Good luck with your new job opportunity. The last year of college can be scary, but fun at the same time - if you like adventure! =)

Anja and Danielle - welcome! Thanks so much for reading and commenting.
Rather than looking “inside” and seeing what you feel about it. (The mind of man is deceitful) Why not go to the scriptures and see what the biblical narmative for women is regarding jobs. I recommend Titus 2 and considering the wonderful world of being a keeper at home.
Kelly, thanks for your thoughts. Along with you, I consider Scripture to be my guide in this matter. However, we differ in our interpretation. I do not believe Scripture mandates that all women must be “keepers at home.” I would love to be a stay-at-home wife and mother someday, but in this season, I am looking for a job outside the home.
