Grace on My Face

Monday, April 21st, 2008 | Christianity

Before Jesus saved me, sin was written all over my heart. I imagine what that would look like if it was written all over my face. I think sometimes you could tell.

Now that I belong to Jesus, I have grace and forgiveness written all over my heart. I hope that others can see this beauty written all over my face.

Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”

It was about 6 months since I had seen my best friend’s wife. I visited with them once before God delivered me. When I saw her the 2nd time after God’s work be done, she could not believe how well I looked and that I was a beautiful new person. It is though my face shone.

Simply based on my looks alone and before I could even open my mouth, she knew what God had done in me.

I knew of the work that God did in me and I was more than satisfied with that. But for one person who had seen me once before and once afterwards, the change was evident.

Beautifully written Anna! What a great thing to desire to have Grace written all over our faces as well as our hearts!

Hm…lovely, simple, and yet very profound reminder Anna. This was definitely something I needed this very moment.
