You’re right, Anna, and yet sadly all too many young ladies are influenced by what men think– or what they think men think! Whew!

This was something that was brought out in our recent Carnival of Modesty. Guys, it’s a tall order, but we need to let the young ladies in our life know that they should not be looking to the s*x-drenched culture for ways to honor God and to appeal to us. They should be looking to those things that are on the inside.

Mmm…that is so true! Thank you for this reminder. When we find our worth in God and His love there also comes a true kind of confidence that is not so easily changed by what others (especially guys) think of us.

Good reminder.

Funny I should read this as I begin to prepare a sermon on 1 Corinthians 4, which includes the verses -

“I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself … It is the Lord who judges me.”
