Eclipse of the Moon

Did anyone happen to see the lunar eclipse last night? I was leaving babysitting when I noticed how clear the sky was and how full the moon was, so I just took a minute to admire it. Then later, when I was watching American Idol at my sister’s friends’ apartment :-) , they said there was a lunar eclipse. So I looked out the window and it was gorgeous! It made the moon look like paper. If it wasn’t quite so cold (in the negatives, I believe), I would have gone outside and looked at it for awhile longer.

I remember when I was little I was so confused by the idea of an eclipse. My parents would get really excited about a lunar eclipse or a solar eclipse, and they would want to take us to see it at some space conservatory, and I never understood what was going on. I think I gained some sort of brief insight when I actually saw what was happening, though.

Arggh!!!
I completely forgot about the event.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed it though. :)

Yes, I saw it! It was beautiful. I didn’t even have to go out into the frigid temperature to admire it, either. We watched it from the comfort and warmth of our kitchen!

I missed it. But I saw one a long time ago. I remember it being cool – but not worth Mom and Dad getting me out of my warm bed. I was probably 6 or 7, and I have a greater appreciation for things like that now.
Have a great day!

I saw it!! It was so neat! My mom, being the homeschool mom she is, immediately rushed inside and got the encyclopedia out to tell us (me, my friend, and my little brother) what causes a lunar eclipse. :)

I was able to see most of it from the comforts of my living room window :D I have never seen one before (it’s usually been too cloudy or happened to late) and it was very neat!
