Topics: You Decide

you-decide.jpg

(I’m reminding myself of Fox News with that title. We report. You decide.)

I would love to know what kinds of topics you would like to see me discuss in the near future here at hope road. I love to talk about everything you see in the categories on the right-hand side, but I’m not limited to those ideas. If you have any ideas for individual posts or series, things you’re curious about, etc., leave me a comment and let me know. Of course, the disclaimer is that I can’t promise to use each idea, but you know that. I’m looking forward to seeing what y’all come up with! (Look, I can speak Texan.)

Update (1/19): Thank you so much for the ideas, everyone! I hope to be writing about most, if not all, of these topics soon. This really helped to give me some direction. Keep ‘em coming if you have more!

I would like for you to write about the realities of maintaining purity… My wife and I just had a daughter, and I am keen to help her understand these principles as she grows. The world assumes that it’s impossible… but I know that it can be done. Any advice you can give and experiences you can share about dating and maintaining healthy relationships with the opposite s*x would be greatly appreciated.

Anna,

I just love reading things from your perspective. Somehow or reason, I am friends with a lot of people your age. Sometimes we don’t relate but I keep my trap closed. But I would like to know how to relay wisdom without sounded old or jaded.

You help me keep perspective on everything and everybody I come across. Thank you.

I think you’re on a good track as you are. Things like biblical womanhood and femininity, and the “young women to watch” are my favs.

Write what you’re passionate about, regardless of topic. That’s when you really shine. :)

You’re doing fine as far as I’m concerned, this coming from a 40YOSBM [not exactly fitting the demographic, now is it ? ;) ]

I would just add that let it be what God puts on your heart as well.

The Word, is for us all.

Grace and peace be with you.

LOL @ “Look, I can speak Texan”… hilarious… and hey, I’m Texan… sorta… lol.

I’d like to see more on Biblical womanhood… I love what you have posted so far and would like to see more :o )

Hi Anna…

I agree…more on issues of Biblical womanhood (i.e. how a young woman should act, dress, speak, what she should know/or keep in mind, read and such), purity of mind (especially), heart, body and sight, dating vs. courting, etc. I look forward to more “Young Woman To Watch.” I also like your “Personal Reflections” and other things you come up with in your personal devotions and the like. But, honestly…I love your blog and all that you’ve written about! It’s all from what’s on your heart, which I think is very important to keep up. You know how to speak truth with grace…you have a wonderful style!!!

I’ve actually been a stalker of your blog for probably almost a year now! You have blessed me and I look forward to anything you come up with in the future! God bless and vaya con Dios!!

Shalom y’all,

Sydney :-) ;-) =)

You’re funny. There’s pro’s and con’s to both, and while I have Blogger, I might as well stick with it. :) I think you should review certain current movies.

I concur with the “purity” and “Biblical womanhood” ideas. Also, perhaps you can touch on your general approach to Biblical interpretation. Often debates over social and political issues (like Biblical womanhood) within the Church have their origin in how we study and interpret the Bible. What helps you come to a better understanding of God’s Word?

P.S. You are doing a great job with your blog as it is. So, whatever topics you write on, keep up the good work.

I agree with Steph on this… I appreciate it when you share whats on your heart. Its amazing how God works the timing out, in using what you write in my own life. Many times Hes whittlin’ away on me on the very same things.

Way 2 go on improving your language skills… Texan is an important language to learn in my opinion… ;-)
