Very good reminder. I can so often get irritated with things or people that interrupt my precious plans or schedule. Let us see the hand of our Sovereign God in everything that comes our way!

Wow… I really needed that! (ouch!)
I love these lines:

“She is learning that she is not the only person out there with good ideas and that those affected by her agenda ought to have input into it. Most of all, she is learning that God is in control of the interruptions and to look for His hand in them.”

The “she” above is hopefully going to be me too with God’s grace.

Wow…thanks so much for the very convicting reminder. This is definitely one of my struggles and weaknesses. I always need to be reminded that I need to be careful about my planning…and I need to be putting God’s timing and plans before my own feeble attempts to use my time in a way that honors Him. I’ve been falling into this again lately, and I really needed to read this. Thanks!

Hmm. Agenda Wendy reminds me of an “old friend”; Conceited Chris. Geez!!! That guy always though he was right, only his opinion counted. Kind of a self absorbed fella, but then Jesus revealed Chris’ heart to him one day.

Realizing that Conceited Chris was not, and never did have “control” of much, was one of the first steps in Conceited Chris becoming humble. For everything that Conceited Chris tried to control, he actually lost more control. (Satan loves it when a plan comes together.)

Finally..Conceited Chris was humbled, he spent quite a few days tearfully on his knees in shame, realizing that he was not all that he thought he was, in the eyes of the Lord.

Conceited Chris has learned that to let God be in control of his life, is to be truly free. Submission to the Lord is not oppression, it is liberation. (Galatians 5, Ephesians 6:1)
