The Bible on My List
I have to confess: I have been experiencing Bible envy for well over a year now. My dear friend and roommate Sarah, who reads the New American Standard version, has a beautiful compact black leather Bible. I would give you the link, but I can’t find it right now. It’s a little larger than most compacts, and thicker, with extremely readable type. It’s such a convenient size, and so easy to read, that I have been wanting one just like it in my favorite English Standard Version for some time now. But alas, I have searched to no avail. I have the thinline, the reference, and the compact, but no personal size.
But finally, my search has come to an end! A couple of weeks ago, I was meandering through Crossway’s site (they publish the ESV), and I stumbled upon the Personal Size Reference Bible (I want it in a different color than that link, though). It’s about 5 by 7 inches, which is perfect, and it has more readable type than a compact, but is smaller than a thinline. Sadly, its release date has been delayed until February 29, but I am waiting excitedly for that day! 
I had a this Bible (http://tinyurl.com/ystmlo) in KJV and was dying to switch over to NKJV. I need it packed with references and I need it in personal size.
The print is a bit small for most people but it is okay by me.
What is truly awesome is that the weekend after I got it, I went to a friend’s church and found out that my dear friend had the same exact Bible.
It can be hard to find the perfect sized Bible, so it’s always nice when you find just the right translation in just the right size and color.
It seems like whenever I’ve been looking for a new Bible, though, someone I know always turns out to have just what I’m looking for, and for some reason or another it can’t be ordered anymore. *sigh*

I’ve been trying to find the perfect compact Bible too. We were looking over the weekend but the stores were so crazy, I decided to look online. I did see the one in your post, though, and I think I’m going to pre-order it.
Hey Anna, I know this is a little random (and late), but I was wondering if you ever found the link to the Bible your friend uses. I have been looking for a more compact Bible and wanted to check out both of my favorite versions (the NASB and ESV) and see my options. No problem if you can’t find it, I was just wondering (and your description made me envious too!
